happy holiday season
_ _ _ _ _
we are at the start of a very unique holiday season - maybe in a lot of ways similar to what our descendants during the 1918 influenza pandemic went through…not to mention the recorded history of plagues that has shook human civilizations for millennial. (side note: everyone knows genghis khan - the mighty mongal empire, with all their power and vast trading was brought to their knees by the “black death” during Kublai Khan’s rule (grandson of genghis khan) - which lead to the weakness and eventual fall of the historic empire.)
i try look back a lot when i start feeling blue about our current situation…
then i realize how spoiled and egoistical it is to say “why me? why now"? - i read a lot of people on social suggesting this is some kind of “bad” alternative timeline…
i personally feel this is “the” timeline and its never suppose to be all good or all bad - for one can’t exist without the other - it is insane to think we are deserving of no hardships of this scale during our lifetime. I personally feel ashamed and selfish to even give it a thought knowing what our people (meaning humans) have gone through to bring us to today.
we are all going through it, and some people way more than others and i know it ain’t easy - but wishing away hardship just clouds our judgement and leaves us blind to what we should do next with a sound mind.
i believe we are highly adaptive and can and will make any situation work - it ain’t suppose to be easy, but it is the blessing and curse of being a human.
i know, i am being a bit harsh - but i want us to stop complaining about what “is” and starting working on what it could be - its not like we were all that happy before covid anyways, we all know it. all this did was make us have major “fomo” to what we hardly appreciated to begin with. I can say this because i am guilty.

I think the point of this is that we are living through possibly and hopefully a once in a life time situation (based our past history) - so lets make the best of it - get creative and make it fun - unique as for the time it should be out of respect for the people we lost and for all those that came before us. my hope is that we can leave this situation as a lesson for ourselves going forward and for those that will come after.
there is still good its just harder to see when we are just focusing on the shadows.
